Water: Carrier
Ceteareth-25: Emulsifier made from vegetable sourced fatty acids. This material holds the formula together and helps give it that thick, gelled structure.
Glycerin: Vegetable humectant that adds moisture to the hair. It is also a primary component of these clear gel pomades that helps stabilize and thicken it. It also helps prevent the pomade from drying out.
Polysorbate 60: Sugar based emulsifier that works in combination with the other emulsifiers to stabilize the pomade.
Laureth-4: Emulsifier made from vegetable sourced fatty acids. It works in combination with the other emulsifiers to stabilize the pomade.
Persea gratissima (avocado) oil: Avocado oil can improve overall hair health as it contains natural fatty acids that help to repair the hair cuticle and prevent breakage. Avocado oil also hydrates hair and locks in moisture
Butyrospermum parkii (shea butter): Comes from the kernel of shea trees. It gives nourishment & moisture to the hair. It works as a natural conditioner to smooth and tame frizz.
Octylacrylamide/Acrylates/Butylaminoethyl Methacrylate copolymer: While this is a synthetic material, it is a water soluble polymer that forms a clear film on the hair to give good hold and style. This copolymer gives harder hold and more humidity resistance than the polymer in the Deluxe Pomade for stronger and longer lasting hold.
DMDM Hydantoin: Preservative against bacteria
Iodopropynyl butylcarbamate: Preservative against mold
Aminomethyl propanol: Used to adjust the pH of the formula and help the copolymer go into solution. It also helps maximize the performance of the copolymer.
