Water: Carrier
Kaolin: A natural mineral clay that helps absorbs oil and gives a matte appearance to the styling paste.
Cocos nucifera (coconut) oil: Coconut oil is great for your hair's overall health because it heals damaged hair by softening, hydrating and strengthening those brittle, broken strands. It also strengthens the cuticle of the hair, which will help protect hair from environmental toxins and keep it healthier in feel and appearance. Coconut oil is less greasy than other oils so it won’t give a shiny appearance to the hair.
Beeswax: Beeswax is used for it’s unique stabilizing and thickening properties. Bees are not harmed in the harvesting of beeswax. Beeswax also seals hair strands to smooth and keep styles intact. It also moisturizes the hair.
Ceteareth-25: Emulsifier made from vegetable sourced fatty acids. This material holds the formula together and helps give it that thick, gelled structure.
Glycerin: Vegetable humectant that adds moisture to the hair. It is also a primary component of these clear gel pomades that helps stabilize and thicken it. It also helps prevent the pomade from drying out.
Glyceryl stearate: Emulsifier made from vegetable sourced fatty acids. This material holds the formula together.
Hydrated silica: This material and help strengthen hair strands. It also absorbs oil and gives a matte appearance.
Hydrogenated castor oil: A waxy form of castor oil which helps thicken hair and stabilize the formula. Castor oil helps nourish and moisturize hair.
Lanolin wax: This is the waxy part of lanolin from sheep wool. No sheep are harmed when they shear the wool. Lanolin is known as a “miracle” moisturizer as it gives much longer term moisturization then any other oil. Lanolin wax also gives this long term moisturization but also acts as a “texturizer” giving hair a thicker more defined appearance.
PVP: While this is a synthetic material, it is a water soluble polymer that forms a clear film on the hair to give good hold and style
Phenoxyethanol: Preservative against bacteria
Caprylyl glycol: Made from fatty acids, it helps moisturize an
Sorbic acid: For pH balancing and as a preservative against mold
Iodopropynyl butylcarbamate: Preservative against mold
Tocopheryl acetate: A stable form of Vitamin E. Vitamin E helps support a healthy scalp and hair as it has natural antioxidant effects that could assist with maintaining healthy hair.
DMDM Hydantoin: Preservative against bacteria
